🌿 Your Wedding Ceremony Process

💬🗨️ 01. Initial Conversation

We begin with a relaxed conversation. This is an opportunity for you to share your ideas, ask questions and ensure we are the right fit for one another.

If you decide to move forward, your date is secured with a booking form and initial payment. My promise to you is that your ceremony is the only one I will conduct on your wedding day.

📝 02. Getting to Know You

This is the exciting bit, when we begin crafting your ceremony. This starts with ‘invitations’ to talk. To talk about the memorable moments that mark how your relationship together has grown. This is a time where you can both pause and take some time for you both. To say things that might not have been said aloud before. And where the conversation goes just let it go. This is the magic of working with a celebrant who loves the process of crafting a ceremony that is all about you and celebrating the personal moments that matter.

⚖️ 03. The Legal Process

In Scotland, couples are required to submit Marriage Notice forms to the registrar closest to their chosen wedding venue. You need to do this no later than 29 days before the wedding (or no earlier an 3 months before your wedding date).

You will receive your Marriage Schedule from the registrar up to 7 days before your wedding date - this needs to be collected in person be you.

This is the legal document that we will sign during your ceremony.

During the ceremony, we will complete the legal signing of the Marriage Schedule in the presence of your two witnesses (who must be aged 16 or over). Once signed, the schedule must be returned to the registrar within three days for your marriage to be officially registered.

I will guide you through this process so you feel clear, calm, and confident about what is required.

🖋️04. Script Review & Refinement

When your script draft is ready, we hold a call to rehearse the flow of your ceremony, making refinements as we go.

By this stage our mutual trust is matured and we know that the ceremony will be something very special. I will share enough for you to be happy, and preserve enough for you to be wowed on the day.
