Your Wedding Ceremony
Bringing together the love you share and the life you are building, I will create a wedding ceremony that truly reflects who you are.
Your ceremony should feel natural, meaningful and entirely your own — capturing not only where you have been, but where you are heading together.
If you would like to include personal elements or symbolic rituals that you can take part in, we can thoughtfully weave these into your ceremony too.
A Ceremony That Is Truly Yours
Choosing a celebrant-led wedding in Scotland gives you the freedom to marry in a place that feels meaningful to you and to shape a ceremony that reflects your story.
From intimate garden ceremonies to wild Highland landscapes, I will travel to your ideal Scottish location. I regularly work with couples planning ceremonies in Perthshire, Fife, the Cairngorms, Glencoe, Loch Lomond and across Scotland’s beautiful islands and coastline.
As an authorised celebrant with TLC, I can legally marry you anywhere in Scotland. This means your wedding ceremony and your legal marriage can take place together, in the setting of your choice.
Working with me, your ceremony is not bound by a standard script. Instead, we create something personal and thoughtful — centred on your relationship, your values and the promises you wish to make to one another.
If you would like to include elements of faith, spirituality, cultural traditions, symbolic rituals or personal vows, these can be woven naturally into the ceremony. Every detail is shaped around what matters most to you both.
You can find more information about legal marriage ceremonies and my authorisation on the Legal Ceremonies page here.
Let’s work together
💬🗨️ 01. Initial Conversation
We begin with a relaxed conversation. This is an opportunity for you to share your ideas, ask questions and ensure we are the right fit for one another.
If you decide to move forward, your date is secured with a booking form and initial payment.
📝 02. Getting to Know You
Once booked, we will begin the process of gathering some important information about you both and life together, this helps me understand your story, your values and what matters most to you.
From here, I begin crafting your ceremony. I will guide you through each element — from personal vows to readings and any symbolic rituals you wish to include.
⚖️ 03. The Legal Process
In Scotland, couples must submit Marriage Notice forms to their local registrar no later than 29 days before the wedding (earlier is always wise).
You will receive your Marriage Schedule (often referred to as the M10/CP10 form) from the registrar shortly before your wedding date.
This is the legal document that we will sign during your ceremony.
I will guide you through this process so you feel clear and confident about what is required.
🖋️04. Script Review & Refinement
When your ceremony draft is ready, we arrange a call to discuss the elements of the ceremony. This allows us to make refinements where needed.
By this stage our mutual trust is matured and we know that the ceremony will be something very special. I will share enough for you to be happy, and preserve enough for you to be wowed on the day.
💍05. The Wedding Day
On the day, I arrive in good time to ensure everything is in place.
During the ceremony, we will complete the legal signing of the Marriage Schedule in the presence of your two witnesses (who must be aged 16 or over). Once signed, the schedule must be returned to the registrar within three days for your marriage to be officially registered.
I will guide the ceremony calmly and professionally, allowing you to focus on the moment — present, relaxed and fully yourselves.
