Hello, I am glad you have stopped by — I am Karen.

I was born in the Highlands of Scotland and love the rugged beauty that it’s renowned for. I now live in Scotland’s heart — the Kinross and Perthshire area.

Fun facts:

• I have had 5 West Highland White Terriers (not all at the same time)
• I have planted 1000 trees in my garden... though not all have survived the deer
• My goal is 10,000 steps every day — sometimes that calls for the use of a trampoline

As a celebrant, I believe the very best ceremonies have heart, breath, and reflect the couple’s personality.

Love • Life • Legacy 🤍

What I Offer

Your ceremony will not only be legal but your personalities will be celebrated in the story we create.

If you want your children, family, or guests to feel part of your day, I can weave participation into a ceremony that flows from the first moment to the last.

If you want to incorporate meaningful rituals that hold significance, together we can create some memorable moments that symbolise your love, your family, your community.

If you want your pets or other animals included, that too can be accommodated.

Whether you plan a intimate or large event in a elegant venue or outdoors on a hill, loch side, or in a garden - I am happy to adapt the ceremony to capture your vision of what you want.

If you want support writing your vows or preparing for the day, I will be your guide and partner there for you throughout the planning and delivery.

Protection & Reassurance

  • As a TLC celebrant, I am authorised to legally marry you anywhere in Scotland.

  • I hold Public Liability insurance with the Celebrant’s Guild.

  • I have been trained with TLC and the Academy of Modern Celebrancy.

  • You will hold a written service agreement - should you choose to book me as your celebrant.

  • You will receive support and guidance with ceremony planning and preparation.

  • TLC is one of Scotland’s longest established celebrant organisations, with 21 celebrants supporting legal weddings across the country. Should illness or emergency prevent me from delivering your ceremony, TLC would ensure another authorised celebrant is available to support your day.

  • The TLC Values are Respect, Love, and Kindness

What happens next?

  2. If we feel ready - the next move is to secure your date in my diary with a booking form and deposit of £100

  3. We set out the planning meetings where I gather the ingredients that will create ‘your’ ceremony - this will normally happen around 3 months before your ceremony

  4. Your ceremony will be created by me and shared with you

  5. Throughout the process I will be available to you to discuss ideas for the ceremony, guide you on the legal requirements, and support you prepare for the day

  6. In the final month before your ceremony, our contact can increase to help with finalising plans

  7. On the day of the ceremony, I will arrive at your wedding location at least 1 hour in advance, I will support the arrangements, speak with guests and your other wedding suppliers, check the legal paperwork, and generally oversee the ceremony arrangements. And I will slip away once you and your guests have moved into the wedding celebrations 🤍
